Ideations

The Falling Man, September 11, 2001

He barked at me with such ferocity in his eyes and voice, that I was stunned into silence. When he left the room I felt like going out onto the balcony, stepping up on the railing and hurling myself down ten stories. Or going into the kitchen drawers, pulling out the sharp serrated bread knife and cutting the veins in my arms.

But then I thought it would not be fair to  my children and grandchildren.

So I just thought other thoughts and it passed.

For now.
